Orbán Declares Antifa a 'Terrorist' Organization, Following Trump

The Hungarian government, following the example of Donald Trump, has designated the Antifa movement as a 'terrorist organization.' This move has brought sanctions, including asset freezes and entry bans, to those included on the list.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had stated that it was time for Hungary to follow the American example. Trump had signed an executive order designating Antifa a 'terrorist organization.'
Experts have pointed out that Trump does not have a legal mechanism to designate Antifa a domestic terrorist organization, as such a designation can only be applied to foreign groups.
Budapest initially included an unspecified 'Antifa organization' and the far-left extremist group Hammerbande on the list.
