Ukraine: 34-Year-Old Mykhailo Fedorov Nominated as Defense Minister

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his intention to replace Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, offering the position to 34-year-old Mykhailo Fedorov, currently the Minister of Digital Transformation.
"I have decided to change the structure of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. I am offering Mykhailo Fedorov the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine," Zelenskyy said in a video message.
Zelenskyy stated that "Mykhailo is very involved in issues related to unmanned aerial vehicles and is working very effectively to digitize public services and processes."
Zelenskyy also announced the appointment of the head of military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, as his chief of staff. Budanov replaces Andriy Yermak.
