Share on:

Russian strikes have caused power outages in Ukraine, according to local officials. The majority of the city of Dnipro was left without electricity, resulting in the immobilization of metro trains.

DTEK, the largest private electricity provider in Ukraine, announced power outages in areas of the Zaporizhzhia region as well.

Earlier, Russia carried out attacks on two ports in the Odesa region, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of five others, according to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba. Port facilities and tanks containing vegetable oils were damaged. The attacked ports were Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi.

Russian forces captured the village of Khrabovske in the Sumy region on January 5, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
