Ukraine: One Dead, Two Injured in Russian Strikes on Kherson

An 81-year-old woman was killed and two people were injured in Russian strikes on Kherson, officials announced. According to authorities, the attack occurred around 04:45 local time, with Russian artillery bombarding the city.
A 53-year-old woman was also injured and is hospitalized, while a 56-year-old man was injured in a Russian drone attack in central Kherson. A war crimes investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, a Russian drone attack damaged an energy facility in the Poltava region, temporarily disrupting power supply. A similar attack caused power outages in the city of Sumy.
The Ukrainian Air Force announced it shot down 74 of the 95 drones launched by Russian forces. The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy announced that energy facilities have been attacked 2,900 times since March 2025.
In the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, 15 people were evacuated from their homes due to a fire caused by debris from a Ukrainian drone. Russian air defense systems shot down 26 Ukrainian drones, 15 of them over the Rostov region.
