Ukraine: Over 115,000 Russian Soldiers Killed

According to a BBC investigation in collaboration with the Russian website Mediazona and volunteers, 115,857 Russian soldiers have been identified as killed in the war in Ukraine.

More than half had signed a contract with the army after the invasion began. The BBC notes an increase in obituaries, indicating developments on the front lines.

The main category of victims is volunteers recruited after the start of the invasion. At least 240 Russians signed a contract immediately after school and died at the age of 18.
