Ukraine: Russian Strike on Train – At Least 30 Injured

Russian drones struck a passenger train and railway station in the Sumy region of northern Ukraine, injuring at least 30 people. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, calling it a "barbaric act" targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.
"We currently know of at least 30 injured," including passengers and railway workers, Zelenskyy added via X, in a message accompanied by a video showing a damaged and burned train car. No deaths have been reported so far.
According to regional governor Oleh Khryhorov, the attack hit a train traveling from Shostka to Kyiv. The attack site is about 50 kilometers from the Russian border.
Another wave of overnight strikes by the Russian military caused power outages to approximately 50,000 households in the Chernihiv region. The Ukrainian military also announced that it hit a major oil refinery in the Leningrad region, in northwestern Russia.
