Ukraine: Arrests for Large-Scale Corruption Involving Politicians and Military

In Ukraine, authorities have dismantled a large-scale corruption ring involving politicians and military personnel.

The national anti-corruption agency announced that the ring was involved in the procurement of drones and electronic warfare equipment. A member of parliament, local officials, and members of the National Guard are accused of involvement.

Four arrests have been made, with no further details released. Interior Minister Igor Klimenko stated that the National Guard members suspected of involvement have been suspended.

The investigation indicates that from 2024 to 2025, the suspects embezzled public funds intended for the armed forces. President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the anti-corruption services.
