Ukrainian MiG-29 Fighter Jet Crashes, Pilot Killed

A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet crashed upon landing, resulting in the death of the pilot, the Ukrainian General Staff of the Armed Forces announced today.
The causes of the crash are under investigation. The Soviet-built MiG-29s form the basis of the Ukrainian Air Force, which has received aircraft of this type from Poland and Slovakia since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022.
The Air Force also reported attacks by 49 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) overnight, 36 of which were intercepted. Strikes were reported in seven locations, and sirens sounded in Kyiv.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko made statements regarding air defense.
