Ukrainian Village Mourns Family Killed by Russian Drone

A Ukrainian village is mourning the loss of a family killed by a Russian drone strike. The incident occurred in the village of Chernechchyna, in northeastern Ukraine.

The drone killed Aliona Lesnichenko, who was pregnant with twins, her husband Oleksandr, and their two sons, aged 4 and 6. Natalia, a neighbor, recalls Aliona shopping for her children shortly before the tragedy.

According to Lyubov Panchenko, another neighbor, Oleksandr had fought on the front lines. Residents of Chernechchyna gathered to bid farewell to the family, holding flowers in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

Alina Lagoyda, a friend of the family, expressed her dismay at the attack, as there had been no similar incidents in the area during the war.
