Theophany Celebrations in Phanar – Metropolitan of Kyiv Present

The Divine Liturgy for the Theophany was celebrated in a festive atmosphere at the Patriarchal Church of St. George in Phanar, presided over by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius participated in the liturgy.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the ceremony of the Blessing of Waters took place in the Golden Horn.

The Greek government was represented by the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

The presence of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and the joint celebration of the Divine Liturgy underscore the support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the Church of Ukraine.
