6-Year-Old Girl Dies After Arriving in Lampedusa

A 6-year-old girl from Guinea, who arrived in Lampedusa on August 8th, died on Tuesday. The girl had traveled for five days on a dilapidated boat without water and food.

After her arrival, she was transferred to a pediatric hospital in Palermo, Sicily, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit. Ten bodies of migrants and refugees were also transferred to Agrigento, Sicily.
