Fires in Greece: Battle with 7 Fronts – Evacuations via 112

Firefighting forces in Greece are battling 7 active fire fronts on August 11. In several areas, messages were sent from 112 for evacuations.

In Kallitechnoupoli, Attica, 105 firefighters with 28 vehicles, as well as aerial means, were mobilized. In Skoteini, Argolida, a 112 message was sent for readiness, with 24 firefighters operating. A similar message was sent for a fire in Galatas, Aitoloakarnania, while forces were reinforced in Volvi, Thessaloniki, where an evacuation order was given towards Nymfopetra.

The image of the fire in Ancient Nemea is better, although a 112 message had preceded for removal to Nemea and Ancient Kleones. In Petralona, Messinia, a message was sent to evacuate to Meligalas. Finally, a fire is also raging in Fraxia Vonitsas, Aitoloakarnania, with 50 firefighters operating.
