Russian Attack on Kyiv: 8 Dead, Dozens Injured

A massive Russian attack on Kyiv has resulted in the deaths of at least 8 people and injuries to dozens more. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Russia for using ballistic missiles and called on the international community to impose new sanctions.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 38 people were injured, with 30 hospitalized. The attack hit more than 20 locations in the capital, damaging residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a shopping center.
AFP journalists reported hearing strong explosions and seeing a missile being shot down. Ihor Klymenko, the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, reported that two children were among the dead. Andriy Yermak, Zelenskyy's chief of staff, condemned the attack.
