5.4 Magnitude Earthquake in Western Turkey β Felt in Izmir and Istanbul

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Simav region of western Turkey, according to AFAD.
The earthquake was recorded at 12:59 Cyprus time, with a focal depth of 8.64 kilometers. The mayor of Simav, KΓΌbra Tekel Aktulun, reported that panic prevailed among the residents.
The tremor was felt in Izmir, Bursa, and partially in Istanbul.
