Silvio Berlusconi: Villa Certosa in Sardinia up for sale

Villa Certosa in Sardinia, also known for Silvio Berlusconi's 'bunga bunga' parties, is up for sale. The villa is priced at 500 million euros.

La Nuova Sardegna, a local newspaper, reported that negotiations are underway, with Sotheby’s International Realty and Knight Castle Real Estate handling the sale. Fininvest, Berlusconi's company, confirmed it is considering various expressions of interest.

The villa, formerly known as Villa Monastero, has hosted leaders such as Vladimir Putin, George Bush, and Tony Blair. It also became known for its controversial 'bunga bunga' parties. The 4,500 sq.m property features gardens, swimming pools, and a secret sea cave.

In 2004, Berlusconi designated the villa as an 'alternative maximum security location,' protecting it from environmental inspections.
