Strasbourg: 8-Year-Old Trapped Under Tram – Rescued

An 8-year-old boy was trapped under a tram in the Neuhof area of Strasbourg but was rescued without serious injuries. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (October 23) when the child, while cycling with a friend on a scooter, fell onto the tracks of tram line C.

A passerby tried to help the minor, as seen in a video on social media. The Strasbourg Transport Company confirmed that the child did not suffer serious injuries.

"We didn't have to lift the tram. Fortunately, there was a gap that allowed the child to be rescued," said a company representative. The child was taken to the hospital for examination. The incident caused a disruption in tram traffic for about an hour.
