Train Collision in Spain: 39 Dead, Minister Calls it 'Strange Accident'

At least 39 people have died and over 150 were injured in a train collision in Andalusia, Spain. Two trains collided near Adamuz after carriages of a derailed train crashed into another train.
Spanish Transport Minister Óscar Puente called the accident 'extremely strange,' as the line had recently been renovated with an investment of 700 million euros. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his deep sorrow for the tragedy. Passengers described the collision as a 'horror movie' and an 'earthquake'.
High-speed train traffic between Madrid and other cities in southern Spain has been suspended.
