Tragedy: Girl Who Arrived in Lampedusa Dies

A 6-year-old girl from Guinea, who arrived in Lampedusa on August 8, died today in a hospital in Palermo. The girl had traveled for five days in a dilapidated boat without water and food, along with her mother and other migrants and refugees.
After her arrival, she was transferred to a pediatric hospital where she was being treated in intensive care. Today, ten bodies of migrants and refugees who lost their lives in the Mediterranean were transferred to Agrigento, Sicily.
