Turkish Airlines Flight Evacuated After Smoke Incident in Antalya

Passengers on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Antalya experienced a dramatic landing after being forced to evacuate the aircraft via emergency slides due to smoke detected in the landing gear.
Turkish Airlines' Communications Director, Yahya Üstün, stated that an inspection revealed a fault in a hydraulic hose. "Following the advice of the fire fighting teams (ARFF) responding to the smoke, the evacuation slide was deployed as a precaution and the aircraft was evacuated. Our passengers were evacuated in a timely manner and there were no injuries," he said.
