Czech Republic: Drug Dealers Hid Cocaine in Cakes
Share on:

A gang smuggled drugs by hiding cocaine in cakes from Germany to the Czech Republic. According to a spokesperson for the Czech police, over 30 kilograms of drugs were transported from Berlin to Prague in this way.

The cakes were decorated with whipped cream to conceal the contents. Each cake contained approximately 1 kilogram of cocaine. The gang exploited the price difference of cocaine between Germany and the Czech Republic.

Five people are in custody. Seven foreigners and one Czech national are among the suspects, who, if convicted, face prison sentences of up to 18 years. Police accuse the gang of trafficking cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy, and LSD through an online chat service.

During the raids, drugs, 20,000 euros, a car, and luxury watches were seized.
