In the article, Time refers to Meloni's support for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and her meeting with Donald Trump. Her sister, Arianna Meloni, also mentions their father's decision to abandon their family.

Meloni states: 'I am not a racist, I am not homophobic, I am not everything they say about me.' She emphasizes the need to defend our culture and identity, considering nationalism as a way to protect against globalization.

The magazine notes that Meloni 'supports a political agenda that is in line with that of new, emerging authoritarian leaders' and 'creates a new nationalism: localist, populist, but loyal to the West, to Europe and to transatlantic relations'.
