Vietnam: Ten Dead in Bus Accident

Ten people, including two children, were killed when a bus overturned on a road connecting Hanoi to Da Nang in central Vietnam, the government announced.

Another twelve passengers were injured, some seriously, and are being treated in hospital. All the victims were Vietnamese, the government clarified.

The bus, which was on a night route, veered off course, hit road signs and overturned early in the morning.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for an investigation into the tragedy, which comes just a week after 38 people died in the sinking of a tourist boat in Ha Long Bay.
