Bulgaria: Public Servants Extorted Robbie Williams' Staff

Two public servants in Bulgaria have been fired and detained after being accused of extorting members of Robbie Williams' staff. The incident occurred during a traffic stop near Sofia, where the officials allegedly demanded €500 to allow trucks carrying equipment for the singer's concert to pass.
According to Sofia's police chief, Lyubomir Nikolov, the officials used Google Translate to communicate with the drivers. Transport Minister Grozdan Karadzhov confirmed the dismissal of the employees, while Deputy Prosecutor Desislava Petrova announced the start of a preliminary investigation.
The incident sparked reactions, with many commenting on corruption in Bulgaria. One user sarcastically remarked that Robbie Williams is more effective in fighting corruption than Bulgarian institutions.
