Brazil: Cigarette Sparks Fire at Gas Station

A man in Brazil ignited a fire at a gas station after lighting a cigarette. The incident occurred in the city of Timon, in the state of Maranhão.
According to Globo, the man discarded the match, causing flames to erupt. He and his friends fled the scene. A gas station employee extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher. No injuries were reported.
The Timon Fire Department is investigating the incident. According to Lieutenant Wellington Soares Araujo, smoking near gas pumps is extremely dangerous due to the presence of flammable gases.
