UK: Man Drugged and Raped Wife with Others for 13 Years

Shock in the UK: A 49-year-old man is accused of drugging and raping his ex-wife for 13 years, along with five other men. The case has caused widespread concern.

The **British police** announced that the six men face more than 60 charges for rapes committed from 2010 to 2023. The victim, **Joanne Young**, 48, waived her right to anonymity.

Her ex-husband, **Philip Young**, has been arrested and remanded in custody. He allegedly administered a substance to Joanne to daze and subdue her for sexual contact. He faces 56 charges, including rape, voyeurism, and possession of indecent material.

His co-defendants are **Norman McSony, Dean Hamilton, Conner Sanderson Doyle, Richard Wilkins, and Mohammed Hassan**, aged 31-61. At least three of them lived in Swindon, as did the Young couple. All have been released on bail.

The case is reminiscent of **Gisèle Pelicot** in France, who was raped for years by strangers recruited by her husband after he drugged her.
