Juan Carlos: Moves to Portugal in a €4.5 Million Mansion

Former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, is preparing to move to Portugal after five years of residence in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The reason for the change is the corruption scandals and tax problems that led him to leave Spain.
According to "El Nacional", Juan Carlos I has visited luxury mansions in Estoril and Cascais, areas he knows from his exile during the Second Spanish Republic. It seems that a residence worth €4.5 million has been selected, which is being adapted to his condition with elevators and ramps for wheelchairs.
The reason for the move is Portugal's proximity to Spain, facilitating communication with family, and the presence of friends from the aristocracy and the business world. The move comes after emotional fatigue in the United Arab Emirates and to stay out of the spotlight in Spain.
