CNBC: Limited Transit Through the Strait of Hormuz

Navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is gradually recovering, albeit limited, following a de facto blockade by Iran. According to CNBC, the situation has raised concerns about disruption to the global oil supply.
Only 21 tankers have crossed the Strait since February 28, compared to over 100 daily before hostilities, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data. Approximately 400 ships are in the Gulf of Oman, waiting to pass.
Despite Tehran's control, some ships have managed to pass, suggesting that Iran selectively allows the passage of non-Iranian oil cargoes, upon negotiation.
