Vishwashkumar Ramesh, the sole survivor of the Air India plane crash that claimed the lives of 241 people in June, describes his life after the accident as a constant struggle of pain and grief.

Ramesh, 39, survived the crash of the Boeing 787 flying from Ahmedabad to London. Of the 241 fatalities, 169 were Indian nationals, 52 British, and 19 were on the ground.

In an interview with the BBC, Ramesh stated, 'I am the only survivor. I still can't believe it.' He lost his brother in the tragedy.

According to the preliminary report by the Indian Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, the fuel supply to the engines was cut off seconds after takeoff. The investigation into the causes of the accident is ongoing.

'I suffer physically and mentally,' said Ramesh, adding that he faces physical pain and mental trauma. Air India has offered him interim compensation.
