China Bans Nvidia's H20 Chips in State-Owned Enterprises

Chinese companies have been instructed not to use Nvidia's H20 chips, especially in tasks related to the government or national security, according to Bloomberg News.
Authorities have sent notices to companies, discouraging the use of these semiconductors. Nvidia announced in July that its products do not have "backdoors" that would allow remote access, following concerns from China about potential security risks.
Donald Trump stated that he may allow Nvidia to sell downgraded versions of the Blackwell microprocessor to China.
The most advanced chip that Nvidia is currently allowed to sell in China is the H20, based on the Hopper platform. The Trump administration had given the green light for exports of the H20 to China last month.
