US Tariffs Reduced on British Cars, Aircraft Parts

The trade agreement between US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Kir Starmer to reduce US tariffs on imports from Britain took effect today, Monday (June 30), the British government announced.
The agreement includes a reduction in tariffs from 27.5% to 10% for car manufacturers, while the existing 10% tariffs were completely eliminated for goods such as aircraft engines and spare parts.
However, the issue of tariffs on steel and aluminum remains unresolved, according to Reuters. Britain avoided tariffs of up to 50% on steel and aluminum imposed by the US on other countries, but the deadline expires on July 9 unless an agreement is reached.
The British government announced that it will continue efforts to impose 0% tariffs on key steel products.
