Trump Ends Trade Talks with Canada Over Digital Services Tax

Donald Trump announced he is ending trade negotiations with Canada, calling Ottawa's tax on digital services a "direct and obvious blow" to the United States.

"Because of this scandalous tax, we are ending ALL trade talks with Canada, effective immediately," Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform, adding that it is a "direct and blatant attack on our country."

Trump stated that he will inform Canada of the tariff it will pay for doing business with the United States "within the next seven-day period."
