Venezuela: Rodríguez Meets with Oil Company Executives

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez met Wednesday with executives from oil companies Repsol (Spain) and Maurel & Prom (France).

The meeting followed the modification of the legal framework for hydrocarbon exploitation. According to announcements from PdVSA, the state-owned oil giant, the aim was to strengthen energy sovereignty and consolidate strategic alliances.

Both companies already had a presence in Venezuela.
