US-China Tension Subsides: Doubts Remain

The easing of tensions in US-China trade relations brings stability but does not eliminate doubts about the future.

According to William Ying, vice president of Shiwanxin Technology, 30% of toy orders from China to the US were suspended in April due to tariffs. Following talks between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, Washington agreed to reduce tariffs on Chinese imports from 57% to 47%.

China's exports to the US decreased by 27% in September, while exports to the European Union, Southeast Asia, and Africa increased.

Jojo Zhong, sales director at Shenzhen BBJ Toys, reported that the US accounted for 15%-20% of her sales, but she is now focusing more on Latin America due to tariff uncertainty.
