A.Dimitriou: EU's Crucial Role in the Middle East

DISY President, Annita Dimitriou, stated that the EU must play a decisive role in the Middle East to de-escalate tensions and establish a ceasefire, following the EPP Summit in Brussels.

Ms. Dimitriou highlighted Cyprus' geostrategic role as a factor of stability and peace, as well as the importance of European defense and security.

She also welcomed the reference to the Cyprus issue and the EPP's priority for the reunification of Cyprus based on UN resolutions and EU principles.
