Arab League: Iran's Attacks on Neighbors are 'Irresponsible'
Share on:

The Arab League has described Iran's attacks against neighboring countries as 'irresponsible,' calling on Tehran to reconsider its policies. Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stressed that the Iranian strikes cannot be justified.

On February 28, US and Israeli forces launched an attack against Iran, which responded by targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US facilities.

In a statement following a teleconference of Arab League foreign ministers, the Iranian attacks were condemned as 'illegal and unprovoked.' Ministers criticized the targeting of civilians, airports, ports, and diplomatic missions.

The Arab League called on Iran to cease 'provocative actions or threats' against neighboring countries, including the use of proxies and armed militias.

The Arab League consists of 22 members.
