Bild: Germany to Send Military Force to Greenland

According to a Bild report, Germany will send a military force to Greenland this week. The first German soldiers are expected to arrive in Greenland tomorrow, Thursday, according to Bild sources in Berlin.

Earlier, Sweden and Norway announced the dispatch of military personnel to Greenland, following a request from Denmark. Copenhagen announced that it is deploying forces as part of military exercises.

This move comes as US President Donald Trump insists that the US should gain control of this strategically important island, which is an autonomous territory of Denmark.
