CIA Issues Farsi Recruitment Guide for Iranians

The CIA has issued new guidance in Farsi, calling on Iranian citizens to safely contact the agency. This move comes as the Iranian regime's crackdown on protesters continues and tensions between Tehran and Washington escalate.
In a message posted on platform X, the CIA stated that it seeks to communicate securely with individuals inside Iran and emphasized the need for strict digital security. The post notes that the CIA “hears your voice and wants to help you,” while referring to detailed instructions aimed at reducing the risk of detection by Iranian authorities.
The agency warned against using personal computers or regular telephone lines, instead urging the use of new, “disposable” devices that cannot be easily linked to the user. It also advised individuals to be vigilant about their physical environment and anyone who might see their screen or monitor their activity.
