Poll: Ukrainians Favor Ceasefire with Security Guarantees

A recent poll in Ukraine indicates that the majority of Ukrainians favor a ceasefire, provided there are clear security guarantees.
According to a survey by the Ukrainian Rating Group, 75% of the 1,600 participants consider security guarantees from Europe and the US a prerequisite for ending hostilities.
Ceasefire discussions, amid efforts by US President Donald Trump, are focused on Ukrainian calls for credible security guarantees aimed at deterring a future Russian attack.
The poll reveals that 82% of respondents believe negotiations are a realistic path to ending the war. Of these, 62% support the involvement of other countries to reach a compromise, while 20% favor direct negotiations with Moscow.
Furthermore, 59% of participants support ending hostilities through compromise, while 20% want the war to continue until the full recovery of Donbas and the Crimean peninsula. Only 13% want a return to the borders before the Russian invasion on February 23, 2022.
The survey was conducted between August 21 and 23, with a sample of 1,600 people across Ukraine.
