Satellite Images: Chinese Ships Near Japan

Satellite images have revealed gatherings of over 2,000 Chinese fishing vessels near Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the East China Sea.
The ships remained in formation for over 24 hours, in the same position despite adverse weather conditions, with distances of less than 500 meters between them.
This phenomenon has been observed twice in less than a month, between December and January. In the first incident, 2,000 fishing boats formed an inverted 'L', extending 470 kilometers south and 230 kilometers west. In the second incident, 1,300 ships were positioned in a line extending 370 kilometers from north to south.
