EU: 30-Day Deadline for Iran Nuclear Program Solution

The European Union is giving Iran a 30-day deadline to find a diplomatic solution regarding its nuclear program. The EU's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, stated that the EU is entering a new phase, stressing the need to use this time to reach an agreement.

The statement was made before the EU summit in Copenhagen, following the activation of the mechanism that provides for the reinstatement of international sanctions against Iran within a month.

The issue is expected to be examined by the UN Security Council.
