Pacific Ocean: 6 Dead in US Raid on Speedboat

The US conducted a new raid against a speedboat in the Pacific Ocean, resulting in the death of six people. The total number of deaths from similar operations has exceeded 150 since September 2025.
The airstrike, conducted by the US armed forces, targeted a vessel allegedly used for drug trafficking. The US armed forces' joint command (SOUTHCOM) announced the raid via X, also publishing a related video.
According to SOUTHCOM, intelligence confirmed that the vessel was moving along maritime drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific. The Donald Trump administration has not presented irrefutable evidence of the involvement of these vessels in illegal activities.
The legality of these operations, which target drug cartels, has been questioned, with experts and UN officials denouncing extrajudicial executions.
