Erdogan Inaugurates Tank Factory, Declares Turkey Unignorable

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated the BMC factory in Ankara for the production of Altay tanks and new generation armored vehicles. During the ceremony, Erdoğan stated that Turkey has entered a new era of military self-sufficiency and technological superiority.
The new factory, spanning 840,000 sq. meters, will employ over 1,500 workers and have the capacity to produce 8 Altay tanks and 10 Altuğ armored vehicles each month. Erdoğan emphasized the goal of independence from external sources, especially in critical materials.
The Turkish President highlighted the rapid changes in the global military and economic balance, as well as the formation of a new geopolitical map. He also stated that Turkey, through investments in the defense industry, has become 'a country that no one can ignore', increasing domestic production in the defense sector from 20% to 80%.
