Erdogan: Turkey is a country that no one can ignore

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkey has become a country that no one can ignore, thanks to investments in the defense industry, diplomacy, and security.

Speaking at the delivery ceremony of the new Altay tanks, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is "continuing to write history" in the field of the defense industry. He also mentioned that the country has increased domestic production in the defense sector from 20% to 80%.

Erdogan noted that Turkey is developing UAVs and SİHAs and has become the 11th largest arms exporter in the world, covering 65% of the global UAV market.

The Turkish president also referred to the inauguration of the BMC Ankara factory for tanks and the new generation of armored vehicles, emphasizing that it is a "great moment of pride" for the Turkish defense industry. The goal, he said, is independence from other countries, especially in critical materials.

Erdogan also pointed out that the global military and economic balance is changing rapidly and that "a new geopolitical system" is in progress.
