Erdogan: First Altay Tank Delivered – Reference to Cyprus Invasion

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the delivery of the first Altay tank to the Turkish Armed Forces, during a speech marking the 102nd anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

Erdoğan stated that the delivery of 250 Altay tanks is planned within the next six years. In his speech, he also referenced the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, linking it to the country's progress.

“Yesterday, we inaugurated a state-of-the-art factory in Kahramankazan,” Erdoğan said, emphasizing the successes of the Turkish defense industry and referring to the War of Independence.
