French Company: Ship Hit by Warning Shots in the Strait of Hormuz

A French shipping company confirmed that one of its ships was hit by warning shots in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. The company, based in Marseille, stated that the crew is safe.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) confirmed that the ship, a container ship, sustained damage. According to the British maritime security agency UKMTO, patrol boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened fire on an oil tanker.
Another ship, the Mein Schiff 4 flying the flag of Malta, reported that a projectile fell a short distance away while sailing near Oman. The UKMTO also reported that a container ship was hit by an unknown projectile, causing damage to some containers.
