Germany: No to Multinational Force in Gaza

Germany does not intend to participate in an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, according to Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. The minister stated that such a force might need to use military means.

Mr. Wadephul also criticized the prospect of creating new settlements in the West Bank. The peace plan includes the disarmament of Hamas and the creation of an international stabilization force, but the Palestinian organization refuses to surrender its weapons.
