China Welcomes Cambodia-Thailand Ceasefire Agreement

China has welcomed the ceasefire agreement signed by Cambodia and Thailand, announcing a meeting between the two countries' Foreign Ministers and their Chinese counterpart in China. The agreement marks an effort to end the fierce border conflicts.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the ceasefire agreement demonstrates the effectiveness of dialogue in resolving complex disputes. Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with Cambodian Prak Sokhonn and Thai Sihasak Phuangketkeow in Yunnan province on December 28 and 29. Military representatives from the three countries will also attend the meeting.

China expressed its intention to facilitate a constructive dialogue between Cambodia and Thailand, seeking to consolidate the ceasefire, enhance mutual trust, and maintain regional peace.
