Trump Administration Secretly Deported Migrants to Cameroon

The Trump administration secretly deported nine migrants to Cameroon, according to the New York Times. The migrants, men and women, were transported on January 14th on a flight from Alexandria, Louisiana.

According to the report, the migrants were bound hand and foot and did not know their destination before boarding the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) aircraft. Government documents and migrant lawyers confirm the deportation.

Reuters reported that it did not receive a response from the DHS, the State Department, or the Cameroonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the publication. It was also not possible to contact the migrants' lawyers.

The Trump administration has not announced an agreement with Cameroon to receive deported migrants from third countries.
