The UK government has announced that Israeli government officials will not be invited to the DSEI 2025 Defence and Security Equipment International exhibition in London. However, Israeli companies will be allowed to participate.

A spokesperson for the British Ministry of Defence stated that this decision is due to the escalation of military operations in Gaza. "Consequently, we can confirm that no Israeli government delegation will be invited to participate in DSEI UK 2025," they said.

The Israeli Ministry of Defence responded by denouncing the move as "discrimination" and withdrew its stand from the exhibition. It also stated that London's decision "introduces political motives completely inappropriate for a professional defence industry exhibition."

Israeli defence companies, such as Elbit Systems, Rafael, IAI, and Uvision, will be able to participate in DSEI, which will take place in early September.

The UK's move follows a similar decision by France, which three months ago blocked the stands of Israeli defence companies participating in the Paris Air Show with black partitions.

The four-day DSEI exhibition begins on September 9.
