US Approves $825 Million Missile Sale to Ukraine

The United States has approved the sale of missiles to Ukraine, totaling $825 million. The State Department has given the green light for the sale of up to 3,350 RIM-174 Standard ERAM surface-to-air missiles, or SM-6.
The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced that the purchase will be supported by funding from the US, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway. The approval was given after a Russian mass raid with hundreds of missiles and drones against targets in Ukraine.
According to the announcement, the sale will enhance the security of a partner that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.
